0 Nick Verreos on Style Network's "Style Star" TV Show: Debuts TONIGHT!!

Angelina, Kate and Nick???

On The Style Set: Nick Verreos on the set of Style Network's "Style Star" TV Show

I'm so excited that TONIGHT on The Style Network, the new Season of "Style Star" will debut--and yours truly has been called in to be one of the panel of commentating experts--for the ENTIRE SEASON!!! The show airs EVERY Saturday night and of course repeats throughout the week.

In case you might be out of the "Style Star" loop--the show highlights Famous A-List celebs and what makes them STYLE STARS! Every week style and celeb experts including America's Next Top Model Judge, Photographer Nigel Barker, former Rachel Zoe assistant, stylist Taylor Jacobson and my good friend, Marcellas Reynolds--will go through and "enlighten" the viewer on what makes Charlize Theron or Penelope Cruz or Kim Kardashian ROCK...in terms of style. Are they just born with it? Or is it because of fabulous and intelligent style guidance via stylists and beauty handlers...

For the first show tonight, it's all about the one and only SUPER-actress Angelina Jolie and the Brit-gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. We dissect all their red carpet looks from their early days (Yes Angelina, we're talking about that blood vial) to Kate and that OUTRAGEOUS Mermaid of a gown...

Hope you guys enjoy the season of "Style Star"--there's LOTS more Style Celebs to come---

Click HERE for the rundown of all the airing dates of the show--

But for this first one (in case you missed the Debut tonight): You can still catch it tomorrow--Sunday at 12:00 AM, 12:30PM and 10:30PM and through the rest of the upcoming week--check your local Style Network Cable Listings.

0 Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2011 Runway Presentation-Video and Photos!

FORDmania...
Tom Ford and his Muses in Tom Ford Spring 2011

The first snippet from that exclusive Tom Ford Womenswear Spring 2011 Runway Presentation which he showed last September has hit the web presses---and of course, it's Fabulous! If you remember, the show--attended by the UBER fashion elite--featured models from...

Singer/Actress Super-Diva Beyonce (above), actress Julianne Moore, heiress and Couture Buyer Daphne Guinness, the one-and-only Lauren Hutton, as well as Supermodels Amber Valletta...

and Liya Kebede (above), to name a few. I'm surprised Liza Minelli wasn't asked! Tom Ford was very adamant about having ONE official photographer (Terry Richardson) not having any photos leak out until HE wanted them leaked. And now is the time for leakin'...

Photos have been appearing of the collection--as well as the actual show--via fashion magazines such as Vogue and V. One of my faves is the editorial shot by photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, featuring model-of-the-moment Lara Stone from W Magazine (photo above).

Anyone Need A Cocktail? The Tom Ford "girls" ready for their luncheon date

In case you didn't know--or realize (I didn't!)--Tom Ford has TWENTY-ONE freestanding stores and stores-within-a-store spanning across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania (that's Australia-New Zealand-Papua New Guinea-Fiji-The Pacific Ocean Island Nations for you geographically-challenged). He's got stores in the "usual subjects" like NYC, Las Vegas, Dubai, Sao Paolo and Milan. But yet, he's even carried in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and even Uzbekistan---who knew? Those sketchy arms dealers need to look dapper too I guess!!!. Ford's first namesake ladies' items will go on sale in his Madison Avenue boutique March 1st. So better save your thousands now, darlings...

0 NIKOLAKI Website: Revamped and Refreshed for the New Year : Spring 2011 Look Book Plus More!!

Happy New Year...Happy New Website..and Facebook Page!!!

Hope everyone had a safe, relaxing and utterly fabulous New Year's!!! To start off 2011 just right--I decided--along with my NIKOLAKI design partner-in-crime David Paul--to "revamp" our NIKOLAKI Website, and add the fresh-off-the-fashion-presses photos from...

Our new Spring 2011 Look Book, shot by the amazing photographer, Evans Vestal Ward.

We used two of our favorite models Amanda Fields and...

Lauren Gish, and shot it all at The Focus Studio, the only daylight photo studio at a California Beach (Venice Beach in case you are wondering). It is home to many a fashion editorial--from Replay Denim Catalog Shoots to Details Magazine covers to a Janet Jackson CD cover. The Make-Up and Hair for our photo shoot was done by Adrienne Sanchez and she did a stupendous job of incorporating our vision for a Euro-chic chignon and flawless Just-Got-Back-From-The-Amalfi-Coast make-up.

0 Faces: Iconic Portraits of Los Angeles Fashion--Nick Verreos makes a "brief" photo Cameo!!!

Fashionable FACES...
Casual Fridays Posing: Nick Verreos prepares for his "Faces: Iconic Portraits of LA Fashion" close-up

Late last year, I was asked to partake in this wonderful opportunity to be photographed for the Faces: Iconic Portraits of Los Angeles Fashion, an ongoing series of books with portraits capturing some of the fascinating people who work for or on behalf of the Los Angeles fashion industry. The entire idea was produced, edited and directed by John Arguelles, President at Lloyd Klein Couture, and a man with an inspiring vision and an unstoppable love of LA and it's Fashion.

James Galanos

"Volume 1" of the book--due out next month--will feature over 150 of these people--a wide range of 'subjects", from Retailers, Editors, Factors, Stylists, Models, and of course, Designers. It is dedicated to James Galanos, our very own Master COUTURIER and was photographed by Steve Anderson. The first video of the portraits is up and features LA fashionistas from my very good friend, California Apparel News Editor-in-Chief Alison Nieder, to Fashion Historian Sylvia Sheppard to LA Times Fashion Critic Booth Moore to designers Randolph Duke, Sue Wong and myself.
Sue Wong

For the shoot, John asked me to just show up--and I did after dealing with back-to-back pattern-making, draping and design meetings--When I saw how FABULOUS and made-up Miss Sue Wong looked (ALWAYS a DIVA--take a look a the video below!), I now wish I would have at least put on a jacket, a dress shirt and a tie!!!!
