0 The Bevelled Pageant Pose Minute: Victoria Beckham in China

La Victoria Has Landed!

A Girl and a Car: Victoria Beckham unveils the new "baby" Range Rover Evoque, which she helped design, Beijing China

This past week, Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham flew to China to promote the new limited edition "baby" Range Rover Evoque which she co-designed. At over $100,000 price tag, it is aimed at the new growing number of well-heeled Chinese clients--where it will be sold first. In addition to showing off her new car design, she is also in China to showcase her collection. Now, before we get to the fashion, Mrs. Beckham had barely landed in Beijing and she was already deep in controversy: she tweeted a cute photo of herself with a Cathay Pacific Flight Attendant pretending to make an announcement.

Please put back your seat trays, adjust your seats, and buckle up! Victoria Beckham and Cathay Pacific flight attendant

Wearing oversized sunglasses and one of her own peach-colored dress designs (very "Flight Attendant Retro" BTW!), Victoria was sitting in the jump seat next to the air hostess, she held the phone to her ear and captioned the pic with "Cabin Crew prepare for landing! Welcome to Beijing!" So cute. Or one would think. That is sooo something I would do!! However after she landed, Cathay Pacific was not amused. An airline spokeswoman said the stunt was harmless but "inappropriate". The photo was not taken at any critical stage of the flight, such as take-off or landing, she added "The passenger only posed for the picture. No public announcement was made" the spokeswoman said "It was inappropriate as ... the crew seats are only for the cabin crew and passengers should not be allowed to touch any of the aircraft equipment". Ooops.

But that was several days ago--let's get to Miss Posh, her fashion, and THAT Bevelled Pageant Pose of hers:

Fitted and Bevelled: Victoria Beckham strikes THE SAME fab pose during her "Auto-and-Fashion Line Promotion Tour" in China

At all her appearances, naturally, Victoria Beckham has been  WORKING her clothing line OVERTIME, looking quite sleek and chic, favoring figure-hugging below-the-knee dresses, paired with stacked peep-toe pumps or knee high peep-toe boots. J'adore the fact that IN EVERY POSE, she does the same look!!!

In the industry, we call this the "Bevelled Pageant Pose"--exemplified by Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2010 above during the Miss Universe 2010 National Costume Parade. Either some former "Miss World" taught her right or she's been getting lessons from FABULOUS Drag Queens!

Here is Victoria flanked by some UBER tall Chinese models, while showing her line. Notice the dress style at the far right, it's the same one--different color way--as the her "Cathay Pacific First Class Travel ensemble" in the top of this post.

After Beijing, Victoria then flew to Hong Kong to make some in-store appearances, promoting her line. At the Joyce event, she wore one of her Fall 2012 red with black bands fitted dresses with a V-neckline. And guess who also traveled with her during this trip to China? Her ever-so-cute baby daughter Harper:

Harper is already racking up more Frequent Flyer Miles than some people receive in ten years! And yes, how long will it take until little Miss Harper will make Suri Cruise look like "Child Chopped Liver"? I give it a year! Happy Fashionable Auto-and-Fashion Tour of China Mrs. Beckham!!! Keep them poses comin'!!! Which is your favorite look on Victoria so far?

0 William and Catherine Royal Wedding Guests Red Carpet Fashion Report: Part 2!

Westminster Abbey Red Carpet Continues...

Proper Becks: David and Victoria Beckham

Footballer and all-around HUNK, David Beckham--and his wife Victoria--were "special guests" of William and Catherine and EVERYONE was awaiting their arrival. They stood with the rest of the invited guests in the "You Are Not Real Royalty" line--it's like an "Economy Class" Airport Security Line (as opposed to Premium Class). Needless to say, they acted and looked very Posh & Proper.

David, always a dandy when it comes to style looked handsome in his Morning Suit with top hat and silver satin cravat. Although many are docking him style points for apparently wearing his Office of the British Empire Medal on the wrong lapel!! Que Horror!

Besides those SKY HIGH Stilettos (hello, isn't she like 6 months pregnant??), Miss Victoria wore...

A tent-like dress from her own Victoria Beckham Fall/Winter 2011/12 Collection, seen above on the runway in brick red. Hers was a dark (almost black) navy blue. Her hat was from Philip Treacy. I really thought Mrs. Beckham was going to wear a "Va Va Voom" fitted dress that she would have had custom made to fit her growing tummy. But nope, she went the comfy route.

The Other Queen: Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish

Sir Elton John and David Furnish also went the Posh & Proper route, both choosing to wear elegant Morning Suits--as was suggested...strike that!... REQUIRED, in the Wedding Invitation. Many people expected Miss Elton to be all crazy and wear a fuchsia Versace suit but really kids, he hasn't done that in years and he knows that a Royal Wedding is NOT the place and time for that. I liked how Elton was the one giving you hints of color with his lemon yellow waistcoat/vest and violet tie. Proper...but with a "twist".

Cobalt Lady: Tara Palmer-Tomkinson

Socialite, "It Girl", TV presenter and all around "British Paris Hilton" TPT (as she's dubbed in the UK) wore cobalt blue HEAD TO TOE, with her dress matching her hat, gloves, shoes and clutch. When I first saw her on TV lining up in that "Economy Class Westminster Abbey Line", I was like "WHO is Miss FIERCE???". Leave it to Tara to not want to blend in. No pastels or blush colors for her, darling! I think she's FAB! I love women who KNOW they have an "Inner Drag Queen" and aren't afraid to use it! Especially at Royal weddings! How did she get invited again???

Swedish Class: Crown Princess Victoria in Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2011--and her husband, Prince Daniel of Sweden

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (she's going to be Queen someday!) was one of my favorite royals at the William & Catherine Wedding. She looked every inch a "modern/next generation" princess. No fussy suits, no coat-and dress combination. Nope, just a sexy, side gathered salmon-colored dress from Lebanese designer Elie Saab and a variation on a dress from his Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. A wide brimmed hat and matching shoes finished off her look. Why, though, is there something about Daniel that makes me want to slap him upside the head? Like a student who's trying to get one over on me...that's what he reminds of...Just sayin'

The New Grace Kelly: Prince Albert of Monaco with his fiancée, Charlene Wittstock

And then there's Prince Albert's fiancée, the statuesque Charlene Wittstock, who was born in the former British colony of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Their upcoming nuptials on July 2, 2011 is THE next "Royal Wedding of The Century" in case you wanted to know and Armani is designing her wedding gown. Until then, we can all live in the splendor that is Charlene above as she arrives--Prince in hand. Dove-gray princess seamed coat, stand-up Peter Pan collar, gloves, clutch, nude heels and sleek wide-brimmed hat. Her mother "done taught her right". She knows what it takes to look like a Royal darlings. Seriously.

0 Nick Verreos on New "Style Star" Episode on Style Network: Victoria Beckham & Eva Longoria!

Eva and Victoria: Style DIVAS!!!

Eva Longoria in strapless red Mermaid-shaped gown from Reem Acra, Golden Globes 2009

Victoria Beckham in a black jersey fishtail gown of her own design

Last night, another episode of Style Network's "Style Star" premiered. This time it was about the "Glam Girlfriends" and Divas of the Red Carpet: Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham.

Nick Verreos on Style Network's "Style Star" series

As you may already know, I am one of the Style Experts of the show (along with Marcellas Reynolds, Elle's Joe Zee, among others) giving our "Fashionista Two Cents" on the style evolution--and red carpet fashion choices--of various A-List Ladies. In past episodes, we've discussed Drew Barrymore (Love her!), Charlize Theron (Wow! What a figure!), and California Girl Epitomized Cameron Diaz.

Eva Longoria, SAG Awards 2008

But now, it's all about Eva and Victoria. I just ADORE both of their styles: they are strong, powerful, no-holds barred style Goddesses. Eva, with her petite fiery Latina looks, she shows you can be sexy and elegant at the same time. And then there's Miss Victoria: Seriously anyone who gets out of an 11-hour LA to London flight looking like this:

Is DEFINITELY going to join me in Elton John-Cher Gay Heaven!!! DIVA with a Capital "D"! This is how I wanna look every time I get off a plane! Go Miss Victoria...

The "Eva-Victoria" Style Star Episode premiered last night on The Style Network...
