Amitabh informed his fans about the operation on Twitter. He also seeks prayers and wishes for speedy recovery post surgery.
"I wish to thank all those that have most graciously sent in their concern and greetings for a speedy recovery. Your prayers shall go a long way in bringing me back to normal and for this I am always eternally grateful," he wrote.
